Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare & Life Sciences (JAIHL). All submissions are subject to initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal’s Aims & Scope and compliance with basic quality and ethical standards. Manuscripts considered suitable are sent for peer review prior to an editorial decision.

Before submitting, authors must ensure that all listed authors have approved the submission and that any required permissions for third-party materials (including figures, images, or datasets) have been obtained. Where applicable, research involving human participants or animals must have received appropriate ethical approval.

Manuscripts that do not meet minimum standards of quality, clarity, or scope may be desk rejected without external review.

Authors are strongly encouraged to review the journal’s Author Guidelines in full before submission and to follow the Submission Preparation Checklist provided below.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • This submission complies with the journal’s Aims & Scope and Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript represents original work and has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
  • All listed authors meet the authorship criteria and have approved the submitted version of the manuscript.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy, completeness, and proper citation.
  • All tables and figures are appropriately numbered, titled, and cited in the text.
  • Permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted material, including images, figures, datasets, or third-party content.
  • Ethical approval and informed consent statements are included where applicable.
  • Funding sources and conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • The use of artificial intelligence tools, if any, in data analysis, figure generation, or manuscript preparation has been clearly and transparently declared.

Articles

The Articles section publishes original, peer-reviewed research articles that present novel methodologies, applications, or insights at the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare, and life sciences. Submissions should demonstrate scientific rigor, methodological transparency, and relevance to real-world biomedical or clinical challenges.
