Retraction & Correction Policy

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare & Life Sciences follows the principles and best-practice recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Corrections (Erratum)

Corrections are issued when significant errors are identified in a published article that originate from the authors or the journal and do not invalidate the overall results or conclusions of the work.
Correction notices are published promptly and are permanently linked to the original article.

Retractions

Retractions are issued when a published article is found to be fundamentally unreliable or invalid due to one or more of the following reasons:

  • Major methodological, analytical, or computational errors
  • Ethical violations, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or undisclosed use of generative AI where disclosure is required
  • Redundant or duplicate publication
  • Serious breaches of publication or research ethics

A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article. The original article will remain accessible for transparency and scholarly record-keeping but will be clearly labeled and watermarked as “Retracted.”

Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be issued when there is credible evidence of potential misconduct, data integrity issues, or ethical concerns, but the investigation is ongoing or inconclusive.
This notice will remain associated with the article until a final editorial decision is reached.

Editorial Oversight

All decisions regarding corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern are made by the editorial team of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare & Life Sciences in accordance with COPE guidance and are independent of authors, reviewers, institutions, or sponsors.
